Used Lathe Machine, 95% New

Demonstration lathes released at special prices. Inspected, re-adjusted and test cut before they leave. Each one is a used lathe machine in the sense that matters: it has cut metal, been measured, and been reset before it is offered.

90%+Original

What “Showroom Machine” Means Here

These are not second-hand machines traded in from a production shop. Each one is a demonstration lathe from our own showroom — kept for one to two years to run sample cuts in front of visiting customers, then retired and sold at a reduced price. They have never done a production shift.

1

1–2 years old, showroom use only

Every hour on the clock was a demonstration cut on customer samples — not a day of continuous production.

2

90%+ original condition

Paint, bed guideways, spindle and feed screws are still at near-new tolerance. No rebuild, no re-spray, no replacement parts.

3

Reset to factory spec before shipping

We re-align the bed and tailstock, re-adjust gibs and backlash, and re-level the machine before it is packed.

4

Test cut and condition report

We turn a test bar, record roundness and surface finish, and send you the readings and photos before you pay the balance.

The honest trade-off: you pay roughly 30–40% less than a brand-new unit, and in return the machine has already proven on our floor that it starts, cuts and holds tolerance. Same cast iron, same spindle, same warranty support — just a shorter queue.

Used lathe machine units available now

Each machine below has been run in our showroom. If you have been searching for a used lathe machine, this is the nearest thing to one without the risk: the machine has hours on it, but they are demonstration hours, not production hours. Condition is described honestly, and the price reflects that it has run test cuts rather than production hours.

Showroom machine details

These photographs were taken on our showroom floor, on the units listed above. Nothing has been cropped out — the marks, the oil film and the paint chips are all still there, because that is the condition you are buying.

Three-jaw chuck and hardened bed ways on a used lathe machine

Spindle, chuck and bed ways, as they stand today

The three-jaw chuck mounts on a C6 spindle nose with a 52 mm through-bore. Behind it, the bed runs on hardened guideways that still carry their original grind marks.

This is the part of a used lathe that decides how it will cut ten years from now, so it is the first thing we photograph and the first thing we check.

01 — Tool post

Four-way tool post and compound rest

Four tool stations on a compound rest that swivels 45° with 1° graduations, so an angle can be set without an indicator.

Lead screw, feed rod and rack along the front of the lathe bed

02 — Feed drive

Lead screw, feed rod and rack

The full-length lead screw and feed rod carry 72 longitudinal feeds from 0.04 to 2.16 mm/rev, plus 72 cross feeds also ranging from 0.04 to 2.16 mm/rev.

Graduated dial reading 0.05 mm per division on the cross slide

03 — Graduated dials

0.05 mm on the dial

Cross and top slide dials are graduated at 0.05 mm per division. The longitudinal handwheel scale reads 0.5 mm per full division.

05 — Headstock

Belt drive and gear train

V-belt drive runs from the 3/4.5 KW two-speed motor into the hardened gear train that produces the twelve spindle speeds.

Used lathe machine questions before you buy

Straight answers to what buyers ask before they place an order.

Is buying a used lathe machine a risk?

It is a risk when nobody has measured the machine. Here the bed wear, spindle runout and guideway straightness are recorded before release, and the report goes with the machine so you can compare it with the tolerance you need.

What does the condition report cover?

Bed wear along the guideways, spindle runout at the taper, backlash in the cross slide and compound, gearbox noise and the result of a test cut, with photographs of each check.

Can I still get lathe machine parts for a showroom unit?

Yes. Bearings, gears, gibs and nuts for these models are held in stock, which is the practical reason to buy a common model rather than an orphan.

How is a used lathe machine packed for India?

Blocked and braced inside a crate, with the exposed ways coated, the chuck removed where the crate needs the height, and the packing list and certificate of origin prepared for customs.
